MEDUSA – Edith Fancher Ormsbee, 70, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital. Born in Catskill on October 13, 1944, she was daughter of the late Fay and Catherine Lounsbury Fancher. The family resided in Westerlo and Edith attended Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School. She has resided in Medusa for more than 50 years.

Edith is survived by her husband, Ray D. Ormsbee; her daughters, Anna (Mike) Jardine, Patti (Tom) Jardine, Nancy (Paul) Russell, and Maggie (Mike) James; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her sister, Myrtle Abrams.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 7 at 10 a.m. in Medusa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association will be appreciated.
