Obituary of Joan P. Gralton

Joan Gralton of Greenville, NY has entered into rest on November 12, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. She was 78. Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 2nd 1936 to John and Mary (McGuire) Yowell. Joan was an active member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where she served as an extraordinary minister of communion and altar server. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas L. Gralton of Greenville, NY; her brother, John and his wife Mary Yowell of East Durham, NY; sister, Mary-Jo Carroll of Waldorf, MD; daughters, Mary and her husband, Larry Nicholson of Albany, NY; Susan Vincenzo of Bloomingburg, NY; Christina Gruenke of White Lake, NY; Laura Cosh of Walden, NY; Jennifer and her husband, Frank Vogel of Milford, PA; sons: James Gralton of Elizabeth City, NC, John and his wife Laura Gralton of Sugar Loaf, NY and son in law, Harold Geyer of Campbell Hall, NY as well as many grand and great grandchildren along with many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Geyer; mother Mary Yowell and father, John Yowell. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th, from 4 to 8 pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 18th at 10 am at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, NY. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's name to St. John the Baptist Church, PO Box 340, Greenville, NY 12083.
