Obituary of Grace B. LeRoux

EAST DURHAM – Grace B. LeRoux, age 89, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn on September 4, 1925, she was daughter of the late Herman and Ella Regan Muller. Mrs. LeRoux was raised and educated in Hollis, Queens. She moved to Greene County in 1990. Mrs. LeRoux was a former member of the Greenville Golden Years Club, and was a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Claudia (Scott) Berntsen and James LeRoux; six grandchildren, Kerry and Jerry Berntsen, Lisa Johnson, Denise, Leo and Sloane LeRoux; 10 great-grandchildren, with special mention of Noah, Lucas, Danielle, Brandon and Brittany; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo E. LeRoux, who died on June 1, 2001; her son, Leo LeRoux; and all five of her siblings. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 1st at 11 a.m. in Greenville Cemetery.
