Obituary of Frances L. Reinhardt
GREENVILLE β Frances L. Hynes Reinhardt, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. Born in the Bronx on August 1, 1922, she was daughter of the late Edward F. and Catherine Ball Hynes, and wife of the late John J. Reinhardt, her husband of 47 years, who predeceased her on October 11, 2003. In her younger years, Frances was a bookkeeper for the railroad. After her marriage, she and her husband lived in Far Rockaway and Massapequa for many years, and maintained a summer home in Greenville. Following Mr. Reinhardt's retirement, they sold their home in Massapequa and moved to Ocala, Florida, returning every summer to Greenville. She was a communicant of Queen of Peace Church in Ocala, and St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville. In 2005, Frances sold her home in Ocala and moved in with her daughter and family in Greenville.
Frances is survived by three children, Mary (Eugene) Murphy, John J. (Ruthann) Reinhardt Jr. and Thomas Reinhardt; two granddaughters, Catherine Murphy and Shelia Murphy Bellofatto; two step-grandchildren, Samantha and Taylor Nielsen; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was predeceased by all eight of her siblings, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, July 3rd from 4 until 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Peter Sedlmeir. Burial will take place at a later date in Ocala, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205 will be appreciated.
