Obituary of Emmit John Stannard
RENSSELAERVILLE β Emmit John Stannard, age 12, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. Born in Albany on February 24, 2002, Emmit was in the sixth grade at Greenville Middle School and was a good student. He loved Halloween and had a Halloween birthday party every year. Emmit loved being outside with his brother, and loved being anywhere with his sister. He loved animals, especially Griffin, his family's English toy spaniel. Emmit enjoyed Gator rides around the family property, and riding in the new hot rod with his parents. He liked video games and trips to Maine, and was looking forward to a family trip to Tennessee.
Emmit is survived by his loving parents, John and Tina Case Stannard; loving sister and brother, Courtney and Lane; maternal grandparents, Jon and Pat Case; Uncle Willie, Aunt Julie, Uncle Scott, Uncle Joey & Aunt Jill, Uncle John & Aunt Michelle, Aunt Beth & Uncle Mike, Uncle Danny & Aunt Jenna, Uncle Shawn & Aunt Shannon, Aunt Mindy, Aunt Julie; many cousins, and his best friend, Maureen Ricci. Emmit was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harry Stannard and Marjorie Delaney.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 20 from 1 until 3 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A service will be conducted at 3 p.m., followed by burial on the family property. Condolences may be posted at ajcunninghamfh.com.
