Obituary of Laura Y. Giovanniello
GREENVILLE - Laura Y. Giovanniello, 90 years, of Greenville passed away at her home on Wednesday Apr. 14, 2010. She was born in Greenwich Village on April 24, 1919, daughter of the late Simon and Frances (Sparcino) Razete`. Laura was a member of the choir at the United Methodist Church of Greenville & Norton Hill. She composed music and was a well-known poet, winning a Reader's Digest Award for one of her poems. She loved flea markets and ran the Country Peddler Flea Market in Freehold. Laura and her husband Jack operated the Tall Tree Manor for many years. Laura for many years helped to organize the Old Timers Parties in Greenville.
Laura is survived by her husband, Jack Giovanniello; her children, Raymond Zarcone (Dianne), Leslie Zarcone (Beverly), Kenneth Zarcone (Sandra), Jack Giovanniello (Colleen) and Laura Wiley (John); two sisters, Rose Celeste and Ada Ventura; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Vincent Razete`.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Greenville & Norton Hill, with burial following in Greenville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at A. J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville.
