BERNE – Joseph V. LiVecchi, 50, lost his battle with cancer early Saturday morning, April 19, 2014 at his home. Born in Queens on August 28, 1963, he was son of Elaine Pace LiVecchi and the late Joseph V. LiVecchi Sr. The family moved to Medusa in the early 1970’s and Joe graduated from Greenville Central School. For the last 30 years, he has been employed by the Albany County Highway Department and had a private excavation business. Joe was always interested in machinery. He enjoyed ice fishing and snowmobiling, and was a member of the North Wind Riders. In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by his wife, Debbie Potter LiVecchi; sons, Joseph Vincent LiVecchi III (Nicole) and James Earl LiVecchi; grandchildren, Corinne “CC” and Caslyn “Baby Girl”; siblings, Laurie (Joel) Roe, Corrine (Kenny) Wood, Cindy (Richard) Iorio and Vincent LiVecchi; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Thursday, April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be Friday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in Brookside Cemetery, Preston Hollow.
