GREENVILLE – Kenneth D. King, 71, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Durham on Sept. 16, 1942, he was son of the late John and Marie Webber King. Ken was a pilot in the U.S. Navy, and later a private pilot out of the Freehold Airport. He was employed by IBM in Albany, retiring in 1995. Ken was a gun collector and member of the NRA. He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Joseph) Licata; three grand-daughters, MacKenzie, Bailey and Kennedy Licata; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John, Arthur and Lillian. Ken has been cremated privately. Calling hours will be Saturday, April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Greene County Youth Fair or the Greenville FFA Alumni Association will be appreciated.
