Obituary of Michael Hollywood
GREENVILLE – Michael Hollywood, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a long, tough fight. Born in Brooklyn on January 26, 1960, he was son of the late Michael P. Hollywood and Patricia Colligan Hollywood Marcantonio. Mike and his family moved to Greene County when he was in grade school. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Mike was a Master Mechanic. He was self-employed for several years, and also worked at Hudson River Construction in Albany. Mike was a member of Local 106/158 Operating Engineers. Music was his passion – he had the Hollywood Drive Band, formerly the Full Circle Band. He also loved anything with a motor, especially Harley-Davidsons and classic cars.
Mike is survived by his wife, Susan Lislevand-Hollywood; his children, Sarah Christine Hollywood, Michael Patrick Hollywood, Betsy Adele Hollywood, Kevin Hollywood, Christopher William Hollywood, and his stepson, David Paul Rose; his grandchildren, Madison and Mariah; his stepfather, Bill Marcantonio; his siblings, Christine Cognata, Michele Biernacki, Gina Marcantonio and Christopher Marcantonio; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday and Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m. both days, at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by cremation. Mike’s ashes will be buried in the spring, at a date and time to be announced.
