Obituary of Anne M. Mc Cabe

Anne M. McCabe (84) of East Durham, NY died peacefully at home on Dec. 7, 2009. She was born in Manhattan on July 17, 1925 daughter of the late Timothy & Anna (Lucid) O'Connell. She was a parishioner of Our lady of Knock Shrine for many years. Anne courageously battled cancer for 3 years never complaining and only caring about the needs of those around her. She leaves behind friends of many years and will be greatly missed. A loving nana she cared and doted on her many grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of John F. McCabe, devoted mother of Annemarie McCabe-Cole (Thomas), Mary Ellen McCabe, Kevin McCabe (Jane), Jack McCabe (Joanne) & Susan McCabe-Walsh (Bill), loving grandmother of Caitlin, Brian, Joan, Kerry, Carly, Zoe, Liam, Molly, Jack & Pearse. Also surviving is a brother Matthew O'Connell and she was predeceased by a brother John O'Connell. Funeral service will be Thurs. 10:15 am from the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY with a Mass of Christian Burial 11AM at Our Lady of Knock Shrine, East Durham, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wed. 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM. Interment will be in the Winston Cemetery, East Durham, NY.
