Obituary of Roger Furman

WESTERLO – Roger Furman, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany on July 16, 1942, he was son of the late Stanley and Dorothy Lockwood Furman. Roger was a lifelong resident of Westerlo. He was retired from the Albany County Department of Public Works. Roger loved listening to country music and was a fan of Elvis Presley. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling around the Hilltowns and visiting his many friends. Roger is survived by his son, David (Crystal) Furman; brothers, Ronnie (Jone) and Jerry (Nina) Furman; sister-in-law, Janet Furman; and a host of family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Carol in 2005 and his twin brother Ralph in 2011. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville.
