Obituary of Ronnie P. Clifford

Ronnie P. Clifford (53) of Earlton, NY passed away suddenly while at work on Jan. 2, 2014 in Cairo, NY. He was born in Albany, NY on Sept. 14, 1960 son of Alice (Merlin) Bryant and the late Roland “Ron” Clifford. A 1978 graduate of G.C.S. he served in the US Air Force from 1978 to 1982. Ronnie was employed by Greene County in charge of the Greene County Mental Health Bldg. Grounds and Maintenance in Cairo, NY. He was very active in the Earlton Fire Dept. holding several different offices. Ronnie was also employed at Red’s Restaurant for several years and was known to be an avid NY Yankee fan and a follower of NASCAR. Ronnie will be missed by his family and many friends and be remembered as a friend to all he met. Besides his father he was predeceased by a cousin Deborah. Surviving is his mother Alice Bryant, step-father Alexander “Zanny” Bryant; companion Barbara Trembez; brothers Robert Clifford (Lynne), Richard Clifford and Rory Clifford (Tammy); aunt: Joan Parks; uncle: Richard Merlin; “Aunt” Barbara Smith, niece: Riderlin Clifford, cousins: Donna, Eric, Penne and several other cousins. Family and friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY 12083 on Tues. from 2 to 6pm. The Earlton Fire Dept. will conduct services at the funeral home on Tues. eve. at 6:00pm.
