CATSKILL – Jeanne A. Zippilli, 83, formerly of Stony Point, Rockland County, and more recently of Medusa, passed away on Saturday evening, November 30, 2013 in the Pines at Catskill after a long illness. Born in Spring Valley, she was daughter of the late William and Adelia Jones Champeau, and wife of the late Albert Zippilli, who passed away on August 10, 2008. Jeanne was an artistic person, enjoying crafts and painting. She also was musically inclined, playing both piano and organ by ear. Jeanne attended the South Westerlo Congregational Christian Church, and drew strength from her deep faith as her health worsened. Jeanne is survived by three children, Debra (Peter) Johnson, Lawrence (Joan) Zippilli, and Paul (Jane) Zippilli; two grandsons, Peter Johnson and Edward Tracey; two sisters, Shirley (Mike) Pacella and Karen (Bob) Furman; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral home will open at 11 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205, or to the Activities Department of the Pines at Catskill, 154 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, NY 12414 will be appreciated.
