Irene Florence Witkowski Verga of Catskill, formerly of East Durham, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. She was born in Buffalo, NY on July 31st 1918 and moved to East Durham from Long Island in 1976. She was predeceased by her husband, Gino Verga in 1988. She is survived by her four children: Serene Statz (Bob) of Virginia, James Verga of Feura Bush, David Verga (Kelly) of East Durham, and Alicia Meyers of Freehold, NY; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 31 at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 1 at the funeral home.
