Obituary of Shirley C. Tebo

GREENVILLE – Shirley C. Thraen Tebo, 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Delmar. Born in Brooklyn on November 12, 1929, she was daughter of the late Karl B. and Edith Matthews Thraen. Mrs. Tebo resided in Oceanside and Dix Hills, Huntington, both on Long Island for over 40 years, moving to Greenville seven years ago. She was a homemaker, attended the Greenville-Norton Hill United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for many years. Mrs. Tebo enjoyed traveling, music and dancing, and spending summers at the family’s lake house at Wells, NY for over 40 years. Mrs. Tebo is survived by her husband of 57 years, John L. Tebo; two children, Lynn C. (Gene) Bowden and David S. (Theresa) Tebo; four grandchildren, Amanda, John and Colleen Bowden and Gabrielle Tebo. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 12 noon at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be at 12 noon, followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery, Saugerties. Memorial donations to the Greenville-Norton Hill United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O.
