Gerald Weisenburn, II Obituary
Weisenburn, Gerald R. II “Robin” of Coxsackie, NY passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY on July 17, 2013. He was born in Catskill, NY on April 21, 1948 son of the late Gerald R. Weisenburn & Adelaide B. Coburn. Robin served in the US Navy from 1965 to 1967 and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal (with 2 Bronze Stars) and the Vietnam Campaign Medal (with Device). Attending several colleges he earned more than one Associate’s Degree. A hard worker, he was an Instructor of Phone Theory for ITT, worked for the New York Central & Conrail Railroads and retired from the New York State Canal Corp. as a Chief Lock Operator at Erie Lock 5 in Waterford, NY in February of this year. He was known for his love of his motorcycles, nature, his reading & his electronic and mechanic abilities. He will be remembered as a devoted Father and a friend to many. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Elwood G. & Kent Weisenburn & a step-brother P.J. Buckley Surviving is his wife Ava (Rickard) Weisenburn, daughter Jennifer Czyzewski (Robert), two sons Gerald R. Weisenburn III and Ambrose Weisenburn, two grandchildren David & Caroline Czyzewski, two sisters Sue Dillon (Dave) and Roxane Lindsay. Also surviving is his step mother Sue (Rockenstire) Weisenburn and a step brother Richard (Ricky) Buckley (Phyllis) & several nieces & nephews.
