Obituary of Sarah Marie Knutelsky

Sarah “Marie” Knutelsky (98) of Coxsackie, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. She was born in Yonkers, NY on Feb. 7, 1915 daughter of the late William & Sarah (Smith) McNamara. Marie was an avid golfer having been able to play until last year. She had the distinction of having a hole in one on the 13th hole (Island Green) at Rainbow Country Club in Greenville, NY in 2000. She loved to garden and was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. She was a friend to all she met and will be missed by all. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Julius, a son Robert Knutelsky, two grandsons, Peter Knutelsky & Thomas Coogan, several brothers & sisters. Surviving is a daughter Agnes Coogan (John); her grandchildren, Bridget Huntley (Jeff), Kathleen Davis (Jeff), John Coogan, Robert “Butch” Knutelsky, Donna Krull (Gary), Mark Knutelsky (Wanda), Dorothy Rehg (Terry), John Knutelsky & Richard Knutelsky, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister Rita Barone and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday May 13, 11am at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 SR 81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville on Sunday May 12, 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Catskill, NY.
