Obituary of Euretha Shufelt

RENSSELAERVILLE - Euretha “Beebe” Ensminger Shufelt, 98, died Tuesday April 16, 2013 at her home with family at her side. Born in West Berne on February 1, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Flora Bell (Dennison) Ensminger. Beebe enjoyed life and her family. She was a member of the Clematis Garden Club of Greenville for over 30 years, Rensselaerville Home Bureau, Women’s Club of Rensselaerville, Rensselaerville Senior Citizens and the Hilltown Seniors in Berne. Beebe enjoyed card games with family and friends, putting together numerous puzzles, word search and watching nature’s entertainment at her window of birds, squirrels, and deer. She was the wife of the late Stanton E. Shufelt. Survived by her children: Dr. Sharon Smith of Burlington, WI, Ardis (Michael) Fritz of Rensselaerville and Stanton (Susan) Shufelt of Rensselaerville; eight grandchildren, William (Tricia) Smith of New Jersey, Ryan Adamczyk-Smith of WI, Benjamin Adamczyk of Boston, MA, Elizabeth (Tyler) Boggs of Oregon, Mark Fritz of Rensselaerville, Traci Fritz of Berne, Jennie Shufelt of Greenville and Keith Shufelt of Greenville; four great grandchildren: Kara, Stephanie, William and Simon Smith of New Jersey. Beebe is also survived by her twin sister Phobe (Tiny) Mudge and many nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her sisters Bessie Ensminger and Alice Swart. The family would like to thank Alice, Mona and Elfie for the love and care they gave. Per her wishes there will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall in Norton Hill on Saturday, April 27 at 2PM. Family will be available from 1-2PM for condolences prior to the service. A private interment will be held at the Rensselaerville Cemetery following the service.
