VALATIE – Susan J. McNulty, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Englewood, NJ on April 12, 1944, she was daughter of the late William Harry Cochrane and Gertrude Gibbons Cochrane. Susan grew up in Durham and attended Durham and Greenville schools. She has resided in Greene County most of her life, and the last two years at Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie. Susan returned to school when she was in her 30’s and earned her Bachelor’s degree. She worked as Intensive Case Manager for the Greene County Mental Health Department, retiring on disability several years ago. Susan was a longtime member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cairo. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, visiting the casinos and traveling to Florida. Susan is survived by her children, Debbie Statham, Scott (Liz) Statham, Dawn Sieburg and Sean McNulty; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Charles) Kohrs and Robert (Iris) Cochrane; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
