Obituary of Carmella Reno
WESTERLO – Carmella “Camille” Reno, born on June 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Camille married her husband, Herbert J. Reno on October 26, 1957. They were blessed with two daughters, Deborah (Ted) Lounsbury, Jr. and Wendy (Dennis) Carl. Five grandchildren followed, Teddy (Julie) Lounsbury III, Eric (Amber) Lounsbury, Jarrett (Melissa) Carl, Gabrielle (Russell) Underwood, and Casey (Yvette) Carl; followed by 11 great-grandchildren, Teddy IV, Claire, Eric, Logan, Collin, Levi, Jacob, Caiden, Carter, Avery, and Wren. Camille was predeceased by her husband Herbert on February 2, 2001; and by her parents, Peter and Mary Puelo Cavalcante.
Carmella will be dearly missed by everyone. She enjoyed being with her family, especially for Sunday and Holiday dinners. Camille loved to travel and, with her husband, visited Alaska twice. In later years, she enjoyed the Senior Club and the company of her “bus friends”. Camille was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, which will be offered on Wednesday, December 18 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville. Private burial will be in Hannacroix Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 will be appreciated. The family offers special thanks to the ladies who served as caregivers to Camille, which allowed her to remain in her home. They showed so much love and care to our mother during her time of need.
