Obituary of Eleanor Mae Marcello
Eleanor Mae Marcello passed on peacefully at home on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Born in Catskill, NY on May 27, 1950, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Elliott) and the late Frederick McAneny. Eleanor graduated from Greenville Central High School. She had been employed at St. Peter's Hospital as a secretary, followed by 10 years in food management at Bishop Maginn High School. Eleanor retired from Dunkin Donuts after 10 years as Store Manager. Besides her professional career, Eleanor served as a Girl Scout Leader, softball coach and was a Life Member of the NRA. Eleanor loved music, camping, traveling, the beach, but most especially she loved spending time with her six grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Marcello, and her three children, James (Colleen) Marcello II, Cara (John) Sherling, and Deborah (Matt) Salvatore. Additionally, Eleanor, aka Nonni, is survived by her grandchildren Madison, Tristan, Lucienne, Kimber, Bryce, and Grady. Eleanor is further survived by her mother, Betty McAneny, siblings Debbie (Kevin) Reeth, Richard (Patty) Miller, John (Kathy) McAneny, Beth (Bobby) Snyder, Mike (Patty) McAneny and Dan (Diane) McAneny and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor will be missed by her close friends, the Riescher, Ommerborn, Roberts, Howe, and Chapkosky families, Brendan O, Joe A, and others too numerous to mention, as Eleanor always had an open door for her "extended" family.
