EAST DURHAM – Frances P. O’Brien, 75, who has resided in East Durham for 40 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson after a brief illness. Wife of the late Ronald J. O’Brien, who passed away in 1971; mother of Ronald J. (Paula), William F., Joseph N. and Michael P. (Andrea) O’Brien; sister of Kathleen Kelly, Ellen McGroary and Mary Barry; also survived by 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham. Burial will be private, at a later date, in Long Island National Cemetery with her husband.
