Obituary of Sylvia Anne Weidman

Sylvia Ann Weidman passed away on June 30th, 2024 at home. She was 62 years young with a spirit even younger. She is Survived by her love Leland Turon, Mother Ida Lawyer , Daughter Amanda Calvo ,Son in law Nito Calvo and four grandchildren Manuel, Erin, Peyton and Jesse Calvo. Sylvia grew up in the hills of Rensselaerville, swimming in the falls, picking wildflowers and spending her time on adventures with her closest cousins and family. They were the fondest memories she shared. Her heart was open to all who needed understanding and compassion, her ears were always lent for a listen from friends to strangers and her smile accompanied by her infectious laugh could fill a room. The love she carried for friends, family and for all people was beyond explanation, wrapping each one of us like a blanket on a clear fall night. Wherever there was music you could find her dancing and singing as freely as her spirit was.

Sylvia's greatest pride was watching her grandchildren grow and never missed an opportunity to tell them and anyone else who would listen. There is no greater loss in our lives, but we know that when God called her home she was at peace and every star will now shine brighter because of the light she brought to heaven with her. She was loved and will be missed dearly each day that passes until we meet again.
