Obituary of Frank N. Benedetto
GREENVILLE β Frank N. Benedetto, 88, passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born in Manhattan on April 11, 1936, a son of the late Felice and Theresa Visceglia Benedetto. Frank was raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, and lived in Huntington, NY and Middleburg, VA, before settling in Greenville.
Frank was a structural engineer and a builder, and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Greenville. He was known as a perfectionist in everything he did. Frank was also an avid outdoorsman, and a member of the Smithtown Hunt and the Middleburg Hunt, serving both organizations as First Whip. In addition to riding horses, Frank also enjoyed bird dog hunting, and teaching others the building trade.
Frank is survived by his wife, Carol Benedetto; daughter Theresa and son-in-law, Scott Treffison; grandsons, Mathew and Michael and grand-daughter-in-law, Victoria Treffison; great-granddaughters, Angela and Adrianna; son, Frank P. Benedetto and family. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his grandmother, Maria Visceglia.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, May 25th from 10 until 11 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 186 Main Street, Cairo, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
