So many memories from childhood of playing on the farm and Aunt Frances always being there. 4H at the farm and learning the different things. A great lady that will be missed by many. RIP Aunt Frances. My thoughts and prayers to the rest of the family. Gone but not forgotten.

I have very fond childhood memories of Frances and her farm. Words such as kind, hard working, energetic, wonderful mother and a selfless contributor to the community come to mind. My father, Louis Harmsen, was good friends with Frances and Gene. They all attended Cairo High school. My parents always thought the world of Frances and spoke highly of her.
I remember visiting the farm weekly with my mother to get some of their delicious milk. My bones are strong to this day:) My sisters and I had the great fortune to run around the farm as children and we found it enthralling to say the least. There were always sweet faced calves, the occasional litter of kittens and all of those wonderful Jerseys girls, contentedly chewing their cuds in the fields. I remember keeping my my distance from the Bull... as he was rather intimidating. The time I learned about electric fences and why touching it with a blade of grass was not smart and other valuable lessons. I don't mind the smell of cow manure to this day.
Farm life is certainly interesting and I have a deep and abiding love and respect for the small farmer and the visual delights and history that a farm presents.
I think its quite wonderful that the Hedges Homestead farm has been in the same family for so many generations. As a portrait artist, I also enjoy painting cows and farm scenes. I have no doubt that time spent running about the Partridge farm so long ago is the reason why.
I feel very fortunate to have known Frances and am grateful for these wonderful childhood memories that have served me well throughout my life.
In closing, I send my deepest condolences to the family and my heartfelt sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Great memories of happy times, while working hard and having next to nothing, we all enjoyed life. The only dairy farmer I knew that had an open snack bar in the barn. Frances could do everything necessary to farm successfully and did. She and her husbands raised a wonderful family.

I'm sorry I missed Mrs. Partridge's funeral today. She was a very special lady. We loved to see her at the fairs, supporting her family and friends in their projects, and was dedicated to her farm. The fairs will have a void with her gone. Peace.

I have so many wonderful memories of Frances, it's hard to choose one.
Frances used to talk about coming to my parent's house for her birthday when she was a little girl and what fun she had.
