Obituary of Richard L. Clark
OAK HILL - Richard L. "Donut" Clark passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the age of 72 at the home of his brother in Prattsville. Richard is a son of the late Lester E. and LaVerne L (Parrish) Clark. Richard was born in Waco, Texas on February 4, 1952.
He retired from Stiefel Laboratories in Durham. Richard owned and operated a Harley repair shop and after retirement started a Wastewater Management Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, Nascar, racing, riding his pan head.
Richard is survived by his three daughters, Christie (David) Price, Leigh (Chad) Mattice, Kayla Pinnella (Tim Schelling); grandchildren, Eben and Aubree Mattice, Claire and Theo Schelling; siblings; Gene (Joyce) Clark, Suzanne Clark Jones, Kenneth E. Clark, Doris Clark LeMay (David); and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends he considered his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville on Saturday, April 6, from 2 until 4 p.m. Interment of his ashes with those of his little companion "Mollie" will be at a later date at the Gilboa Rural Cemetery.
