Obituary of Karol A. Beck
RAVENA – Karol A. Beck, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Karol was born in Albany on September 18, 1946, daughter of the late Edward and Bernice Graves Beck. She was a lifelong Ravena resident and a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School. Following graduation, Karol worked for a short time at the Selective Service office in Albany. She owned and operated the former Floral Designs, worked at the family-owned Beck’s Roller Rink, and worked in the office of her brother Eddie’s business, Beck Contracting, all in Ravena. Karol enjoyed growing and working with flowers. She also had a flair for decorating.
Karol is survived by her brother, Richard (Lois) Beck, her sister-in-law, Lois (late Edward) Beck, niece Diane, nephews Robert and Richard Jr., and several cousins. In addition to her parents and brother, Karol was predeceased by her nephew, Brian Beck.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 21st from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 9 Main Street, Ravena. The funeral will be at 2 p.m., followed by burial in Grove Cemetery, Coeymans.
