Obituary of Anne Carlson

COXSACKIE – Anne (Bjelko) Carlson, 93, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning,

Monday, December 25, 2023. Born on February 5, 1930, in Danbury, CT, she was the daughter

of the late Martin and Anna (Sedlak) Bjelko. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and

resided for many years with her husband of 54 years, Warren E. Carlson, in Brookfield, CT. In

addition to raising two daughters, Anne was employed as a supervisor at Wentworth

Laboratories in Brookfield and a former member of New Milford United Methodist Church. She

recently moved to Coxsackie to be closer to her family.

Anne spent many years traveling to Vermont and several tropical destinations with her

husband, family, and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, dining out (clams casino being her

favorite) and entertaining by her pool. Time spent with family meant the most to her.

Anne took up painting later in her life and enjoyed sharing her paintings with her family.

Her most special moments were spent most recently with her grandchildren and their Golden

Retriever, “Ivy-Rose”, who she loved greatly.

Anne is survived by two daughters, Diane (Michael) Fairclough of Greenville, South

Carolina, and Kristine Revell and her partner James San Emeterio of Greenville, New York; three

grandchildren, Hannah, Jared, and Ryan Revell, all of Greenville, New York, a brother-in-law,

sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anne was

predeceased by her husband Warren.

Anne has been cremated privately. A celebration of her life will be held at a date to be

determined. Anne loved owls, so in lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in her

memory to the World Wildlife Fund. Condolence page is available at ajcunninghamfh.com.
