EAST DURHAM – Mary A. Reilly, 89, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson.

Mary was born on June 13, 1934, in County Leitrim, Ireland, a daughter of the late Michael and Alice Kelly O’Connor. She was a longtime resident of County Longford, and has resided in East Durham since 1986. Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham, and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She enjoyed dancing and Irish music.

Mary is survived by her children, Michael, Thomas, Bernard (Maggie Fitzgerald), Leo, Alice, Carmel, Olivia (Stanley) Rustick, and Eamon (Michelle); grandchildren, Oliver, Michael, Will, Caitlin, Brenna, Amanda, Lorna, Liam, Greg, and Thomas; great-grandson, Conan; siblings, Pauline, Michael, Edward, and Andrew O’Connor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Thomas “Oliver” Reilly on November 9, 2003.

Calling hours will be Sunday, November 26th from 1 until 5 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 27th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham, followed by burial in Winston Cemetery, East Durham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Community Hospice, or a Catholic organization of the donor’s choice will be appreciated.
