Obituary of Bertha M. Zink
Bertha (Welsch) Zink, (76) of Albany, NY formerly of Rensselaerville, NY passed away at Albany Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012. She was born in the town of Durham on March 4, 1936, daughter of the late Charles & Eva (Warner) Miller. Bert was an excellent cook and worked at the Shell Inn in Rensselaerville, NY and last at Mary’s Restaurant in Greenville, NY for several years until ill health forced her to retire. As everyone knew, she loved deer hunting and fishing (loved to catch the big bass). Her other loves were Bingo, traveling to the Casinos, Horse Racing and Country & Irish music and most of all her family. She will be missed by all her friends and family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Harold A. Welsch, a brother Charles A. Miller, & her sisters Mary Smith, Adeline Limbo & Ann Puzzto.
Surviving is her husband Richard Zink; a daughter Mabel L. Welsch; her sons, Edward L. Welsch, James “Tiger” Welsch, Charles “Dusty” Welsch (Kim); step-sons, Howard & Daniel Zink; step-daughters, Valerie Morales & Elizabeth Chiocchio; a sister, Margaret Fasciglione (Pete); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Funeral service will be at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Zink Farm Cemetery.
