GREENVILLE – Carol M. Rose Boyd, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Westchester County on February 6, 1941, she was daughter of the late Robert R. and Helen Comstock Rose. Carol was raised in Greenville and graduated as Valedictorian from Greenville Central School, class of 1958. She also graduated from the State Teachers College at Oneonta. Carol was a teacher in the Greenville Central Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of NYSUT, the Oneonta Alumni Association and the Clematis Garden Club. Carol is survived by her husband, Jack Boyd, who she married on November 18, 1961 in Greenville; two sons, Stephen (Tracy) Boyd and Michael Boyd; two grandchildren, Stephen and Natasha and a great-granddaughter, Jaden; one aunt, Patricia Graap; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was recently predeceased by her only sibling, Robert C. Rose on October 4. Private services will be held. There are no calling hours.
