Obituary of Brian Joel Odza

Brian Joel [Horowitz] Odza died on May 23, 2023, at Montefiore Hospital (Moses Campus) in the Bronx, NY, following a short illness. He was born on August 2, 1962, in the Bronx to Else (Petersen) Odza and the late Mervin Horowitz.

Brian graduated from The Bronx High School of Science in 1980, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University at Albany - State University of New York in 1984. He graduated from New York Law School in 1994 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1995.

Brian is survived by his wife Paige Ingalls; mother, Else Odza; brother David Paul (Susan) Horowitz; nieces Erika Horowitz (Whitney Clarke), Grace (Clayton) Hao, and Samantha (Derrick) Yurcho; and nephews Erik M. Horowitz, Lukas Horowitz, and Randy Odza. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Mervin Horowitz; brother Eric S. Horowitz; stepfather Norman Odza; and stepbrother Steven Odza.

At Brian’s request, he will be cremated, and burial in the Greenville Cemetery will be private. The A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville will be handling the

arrangements.
