Obituary of Timothy Joseph Walsh
FREEHOLD – Timothy “Joe” Walsh, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 27, 2023 at his residence.
Joe was a native of Mallow, County Cork, Ireland. He lived in Park Slope, Brooklyn for many years. Joe served in the Armed Forces of the United States from September 1951 until his honorable discharge in September 1953.
Joe is survived by two brothers, John and Edward Walsh; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes Moran Walsh on February 10, 2008; and his siblings, Annie, Patrick, and William Walsh, Kathleen O’Donnell, Mary Ryan, and Helen Moran.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 31st from 5 until 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 1st at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham, followed by burial with military honors in Greenville Cemetery.
