Oh how we wish we could be there with you, Anne and Bill, as you celebrate your Mom's Home-going. Claire was probably the very first person to greet us when we walked through the doors of Grapeville Baptist Church in the summer of '99, with a brood of noisy kids trailing behind us. And then, she was so excited for us to be going into full time ministry nearly 20 years later, she couldn't wait to be our very first supporter. We will always cherish her faithful friendship to our family and ministry, especially knowing how diligently she upheld us in prayer. We will miss her beautiful smile, and look forward to the day when we see her again in Glory. Our hearts and prayers are with you all as you grieve in her absence, but rejoice in knowing she is present with the Lord.
with much Love and Blessings!

Annie, Bill and the rest of the family,
I’m at once sad for your loss and glad that she is heaven bound. Perhaps when she gets there she and her hubby will be parked in their Rambler Leber next to my parents in their Rambler Rebel. Maybe Steve will jog past them, Bible in hand, jumping over all the steps before entering the church.
I’ve always been impressed with Claire, or Aunt Claire as we called her in childhood, because of her intellect and grace. She was a great example to everyone. She showed compassion to everyone. At VBS I was doing something wrong. I don’t even remember what it was. I expected to be hollered at but she simply asked if what I was doing was a good idea. She will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you in this time of mourning.

My very dear friend Mrs. Claire… I will miss our chats, your words of wisdom, your sense of humor and your friendship but I take great comfort knowing you are at peace, in heaven and we will meet again.
