Obituary of Robert L. Moore
MEDUSA - Robert Leslie “Bob” Moore, 78, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany.
Bob was born in Catskill on December 8, 1945, a son of the late Leslie Howard Moore and Marjorie Cora Britton Moore. He was a graduate of Greenville Central School, class of 1964. Bob was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob worked on the farm in his younger years, then worked as a press operator at Hannay Reels, Inc. in Westerlo for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, Medusa United Church of Christ, and the First Baptist Church of Westerlo. Bob enjoyed walking, gardening, participating in Bible study, genealogy, and playing the guitar. He was known as a hard worker, enjoyed volunteering with the local food pantry, and serving his church.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Tammy Marie, Collene Marie, and Darlene Teresa, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his wife, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Moore, and his son, Billy, Bob is also predeceased by his siblings, Beverly Cross, Larry and William Moore.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 21st from 1 until 3 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Cremation will follow. Burial of his ashes will take place in the family plot in Medusa Cemetery in the spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Greenville Food Pantry, P.O.
