Rebecca Therrien

Obituary of Rebecca B. Therrien

Rebecca “Beccie” Brigitte (Schuler) Therrien heard the fireworks on July 4th and decided this world was a party she wanted to join!! She was born shortly after on July 5th 1959 to Horst and Ursula Helene Schuler in the Bronx, New York. Beccie was raised in the Bronx until moving upstate to Round Top, New York with her family and eventually made her home in South Westerlo, New York to raise a family of her own. Though a proud “City Girl” she absolutely loved the mountainous countryside and was avid “Country Girl” as well. Beccie was a graduate of Columbia Greene Community College where she received an Associate in Business. She spent her life working doing a little bit of everything. She most enjoyed jobs that brought her to the people and brought people to the things she loved. Beccie was a member of the South Westerlo Congregational Christian Church for over 30 years where volunteered and spread her joy with her smile and her love of Jesus Christ our savior. Each summer she taught classes at the Greenville Public Library on tye-dying, crafting and art. Beccie enjoyed everything on Gods good earth including hiking, camping, gardening, knitting, making her own cards to send to family and friends, antiquing and antique dealing, concerts and zipping in her car throughout the community to her next adventure. Wherever Beccie was at the moment, there was joy and laughter and always an iced coffee. Beccie is survived by her parents Horst and Ursula (Krutmann) Schuler, her devoted husband Wayne Therrien, siblings MaryAnn (Schuler) Welsh (Gary Welsh), Thomas Schuler and Carolyn (Schuler) Whittaker (Mark Whittaker), her children that she loved dearly, Michael and Amanda Acker, Rebecca Ursula Therrien, AdamWayne Therrien and Amanda Burton, Derrick Franz Therrien, and her bonus child Joshua Christensen. She will be missed by her precious grandchildren, her “Grandies”, Beau Adam Therrien, Brooks William Therrien and her darling little Louise Marie Therrien. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
