Christina Baker

Obituary of Christina Lynn Baker

We are sad to announce the passing of loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Christina Lynn Baker (Nina), 49, of Selkirk, NY.  She was born on November 4, 1972, to Gilbert W. Baker (predeceased) and Lorrie E. Teller (surviving) and passed unexpectedly on October 13, 2022.  Nina leaves behind maternal grandmother Patricia Teller, siblings Sherry Sevigny, Karyn Baker and Gilbert J. Baker, nieces Ryann McLeod, Alexis Fava, Bailey and Emma Sevigny, Elise Maland, Hailey Baker and Trynity Rathbun, nephews Tristin Fava, Jayden Sevigny and Trenton Baker, sister-in-law Lisa Andujar, brother-in-law Kenneth Fava and close loving lifelong partner Mike Gallogly.  She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family from the Baker and Teller families.

Nina had a very big heart.  She was full of devotion, empathy, strength, and kindness, and had the gift of gab.  She was able to strike up a conversation with almost anyone.  She was always thinking of others in so many special ways with concern and devotion, always giving an attentive ear, advice, and support to all.  She had a passion for her “bling” and an infatuation with anything that had a moose on it (her “moosies” as she called them).  If not spoiling her family with thoughtful acts of helpfulness or spending quality time with her nieces and nephews, she loved spending time at the pool, in the sun, or at the beach is where she enjoyed being most of all.

To honor Christina’s memory, we are holding a celebration of life at 1:00 pm on Nov 12th, 2022, at the Medway-Grapeville Firehouse, 1352 County Route 51, Hannacroix, NY 12087.  We invite anyone who knew Nina to attend and remember her wonderful life.
