East Berne, NY – Gordon Vincent (88) of East Berne, NY passed away at his home with his family by his side on Oct. 14, 2012. He was born in Westerlo, NY on April 4, 1924 son of the late Carl & Lona (Snyder) Vincent. Gordon served in the US Army during World War II; serving in thein the Luzon, New Guinea & Southern Philippines campaigns. He worked for GE in the Turbine Dividion and retired after forty years and then operated Vincent’s Taxi for several years. He will be remembered as a friend to all he met. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers; Donald, Ezra, George & Leland Vincent & a sister Cora Lounsbury. Surviving is his wife (of sixty years) Dorothy (Scheffel) Vincent, two sons, Victor & Mark Vincent, two daughters Kathleen Palma (Joseph), Karen Vincent and 6 grandchildren. Funeral service and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
