I have fond memories getting together with Doug, Gerry, Dale and Gayle, even Mrs. Palmer years ago.

Dear Palmer Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are shared in remembering Doug Sr. as Father, Uncle, Grandfather, and Friend. Through good and difficult times, Doug lived and shared 77 years on his terms. Be comforted he passed peacefully where he was most comfortable. He will be missed by all but has left cherished memories.

I was very sad to hear of Doug’s passing. I met Doug back when his children were in high school, I also admired his work on the Board of Education. He has left him mark on Greenville! Recently I appreciated his friendliness towards my son while he worked at Royal Metal. I often chatted with him while at Cumbies. Rest In Peace Doug.
