Obituary of Julia V. Willenbucher
Julia V. “Julie” Willenbucher, 73, of Earlton, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her residence.
Julie was born in Troy on February 2, 1949, daughter of the late Laurel and William Barrett. She lived for most of her adult life in Earlton. Julie worked for many years in the meat department at the former Grand Union Market, now Tops Market, in Coxsackie. Recently, she was a driver for the Greene County Department of the Aging.
Julie enjoyed reading books, listening to music, and spending time with family. Julie always put everyone before herself. She was a selfless, helpful, compassionate person with a heart of gold. Julie had a love for her family and friends that was like no other. If anyone needed anything, she was always there.
Julie is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Willenbucher, Jr.; sons, William Willenbucher III and Thomas Willenbucher; daughter, Bonnie Brock; grandchildren, Kerry Willenbucher, William Willenbucher IV, Landon Brock, and Kyle Brock; great-grandson, William Willenbucher V; sister, Olivia “Liv” Lozano; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Julie was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Goodrich, Chuck Pitt, Lillian Wickham, and Florence “Flip” Morby.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 19th from 4 until 6 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 20th at 11 a.m. at the Freehold Cemetery, County Route 67, Freehold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to assist the family with final expenses will be appreciated. Checks should be made payable to William Willenbucher, Jr., and mailed to A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, P.O. Box 146, Greenville, NY 12083-0146.
