Obituary of Travis A. Ruland

GREENVILLE – Travis A. “Trav” Ruland, 46, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Born in Albany on January 23, 1976, he is a lifelong resident of Greenville. Trav graduated from Greenville Central School and Schenectady County Community College. He was employed as a professional singer musician at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Troy, where he was a devout member, and as a driver for Riverview Taxi. He was a member of Theta Omega Phi-The Order of Prometheus. Trav enjoyed Mets baseball, Celtic festivals, concerts, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and was a fan of the Raiders. Travis is survived by his parents, Ralph “Rick” and Candace “Candy” Tanner Ruland; his sister, Heather Erin Rose and her husband Richard; Aunt Lyn and Joe Tanner; cousins, Jami (George) Babcock, Cassi Passaretti, and Joseph Tanner, Jr.; Aunt Chris and Joe Yourno. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Gertrude Ruland; maternal grandparents, Niles and Irene Tanner; Uncle Richard Tanner; ex-wife, Jennifer O’Gorman Ruland. A calling hour will take place on Saturday, May 7th from 10 until 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 11266 State Route 32, Greenville. Parking is available across the road from the church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the church, followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
