Obituary of Stanley R. Burke

GREENVILLE – Stanley R. Burke, 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was born on September 9, 1942 in Albany, a son of the late Robinson K. and Beatrice Dibble Burke. He grew up in Altamont and East Berne, and attended Berne-Knox schools. Stan served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962. He worked in the swimming pool industry for many years with Paddock Pools and Aquatic. He drove a tractor-trailer for 10 years, and then established his own business, Burke Enterprises for 15 years. Stan is survived by his wife, Linda Burke; children, Michelle, Stephen, Colleen, Stanley Jr., Sherri, and Jennifer; sisters, Linda Hoffa and Cheryl (Rich) Rodenmacher; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; furry companions, Sheena and Rocky. Stan was predeceased by his grandchildren, Stephen and Nichole, and great-grandchildren, Jonathen, Jayden, and Sophia. Cremation and service will be private, per Stan’s request.
