Obituary of Raymond Knapp

FREEHOLD – Raymond “Ray” Knapp, 75, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born in New York City on December 27, 1945, he was a son of the late Michael and Rose Cantaloupe Knapp. Ray lived in Greene County for most of his life. He was employed as a carpenter and construction manager for many local companies, working out of Local 279 in Kingston. Ray was a good family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Bette Schneider Knapp; two sons, John Michael (the late Deborah Lee) Knapp, and Kenneth William Knapp; two granddaughters, Brittany Milewski and Rachel Elizabeth Knapp; one great-granddaughter, Emerson Lee Milewski. Ray has been cremated privately. Burial of his ashes will take place in the Cairo Cemetery on Tuesday, August 31st at 12 noon. Condolence page is available at ajcunninghamfh.com.
