Obituary of Stanley Homeyer

WESTERLO – Stanley “Stan” Homeyer, 67, passed away suddenly on Sunday August 1, 2021 at home. He was born in Albany on April 14, 1954 to the late John and Huldah Mae Chase Homeyer. Stan lived in various places, including the “Letter S”, Rt 85 Voorheesville, Westerlo, East Berne, Fort Ann, and St. Petersburg, FL. Stan attended Voorheesville Schools, before becoming a mechanic and working for Yank Waste in Albany. He enjoyed helping others repair their vehicles and loved Ford trucks. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Helen (Leland Sisson & Frank Hempstead), John Homeyer, and Roxanne (Jimmy) Ciaccia. Stan is survived by his son, Jeffrey; his siblings, Sandra (Ed) Winters of Cairo, Phillip (Joyce) Homeyer of Westerlo, and Mark Homeyer of Cairo; and a host of nieces and nephews, including his roommate, Steve Sisson; and his friends, Pricilla and Ed. Stanley was a kind man who was always there to help anyone. There will be no services as per Stanley’s request, so let’s all raise a can and wish him a speedy journey to reunite with his family in Heaven. Condolence page is available at ajcunninghamfh.com.
