Obituary of Roy Charles Lindlau

GREENVILLE – Roy Charles Lindlau, 79, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Roy was born in Brooklyn on October 22, 1941, and lived in the Greenville area for many years. He was retired from Albany County. Roy had a love for people and socializing. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and photography, and loved the Miami Dolphins. Roy was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Mary V. Kruzensk Lindlau, on January 4, 2009. He is survived by their children, Roy R. Lindlau (Penny), Joseph C. Lindlau (fiancée Joi), and Mary M. Koelmel; grandchildren, Michelle C. Koelmel-Prentice (Alex), Walter L. Koelmel III (Nicky), and Jeremy Lindlau (Amy); great-grandchildren, Bryce, Skyler, Lucas, Abigail, Logan, Leah, and Lilly. A Catholic burial service, with military honors, took place on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Albany V.A.
