Obituary of Nichole M. Hazen

GREENVILLE – Nichole M. Hazen, 37, passed away suddenly on Thursday January 14, 2021. She was born on April 17, 1983 in Hudson to Brian Blakeslee and Michelle Burke. She was raised in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School before attending Columbia-Greene Community College for a year. When Nichole became a mother, her life was her son and home. She worked at Middleburgh Elementary School for four years, and was a member of the Congenital Heart Defect Awareness. Nichole enjoyed making crafts and the jewelry she made, she sold at a shop in Cairo. Nichole is survived by her grandparents, Linda and Stan Burke; her parents, Brian Blakeslee and Michelle Burke; her sons, Nicholas and Tyler Hazen; her siblings, Heather Blakeslee, Kenneth Hurd III, Amy Blakeslee, Candace Hurd, Amanda Blakeslee, Brianna Blakeslee, Brandon Goff, and Brian Blakeslee, Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nichole has been privately cremated. A walk-through visitation will be held on Wednesday January 20th from 5 to 7pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Masks and social distancing are required, and only 40 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time.
