Obituary of Francis C. Fusco

GREENVILLE - Frank Fusco, 85, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Albany NY. He was born on March 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Jennie (Portanova) Fusco. Frank grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from The School of Industrial Arts in NYC. After high school he joined the Navy in 1944 and served for 2 years, achieving the rank of Seaman 1st Class. He attended Pratt Institute & Columbia University in NYC where he received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor in Business Administration. Frank worked as Art Director for Bill Gold Advertising in NYC for 18 years, and taught Art Class in Bethlehem Art Center, Bethlehem NY. Frank married Wanda Lancaster in 1958 in Cornwall, NY. They were happily married for 53 years. Frank enjoyed fine art, commercial art, baseball (particularly the Brooklyn Dodgers) & fishing. He coached baseball in Iowa in the early 1970's. Frank is survived by his spouse Wanda of Greenville, NY. His sister Marion Sickles & husband Vincent of Rosendale, NY. His sister in law Claudette Holland of Greenville, NY. Nephews John Holland, James Holland, nieces Maria Ramsey & Anne Amedure. Great nieces & nephew Elizabeth Holland, Sarah & Michael Amedure. Nephews Robert VanWinkle & James VanWinkle. His "adopted grandchildren" and close family friends Lindsey Shirey, Leigh Bowen & Mason Shirey of Booneville, Arkansas A visitation will be held at Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville, NY from 6pm-8pm Thursday July 19th. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4987 Route 81,Greenville, NY 10am, Friday July 20, 2012. Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
