Obituary of Richard A. Bryan
RENSSELAERVILLE - Richard A. “Dick” Bryan, 77, passed away suddenly on Friday May 29, 2020 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. He was born in Rensselaerville on June 24, 1942 to the late Kenneth and Ruth Panting Bryan. A lifelong resident of Rensselaerville, he graduated from Greenville Central School and worked as a building and grounds manager at the Rensselaerville Institute. Dick served as the superintendent of the Rensselaerville Cemetery and was the fire chief of the Rensselaerville Fire Company for many years. He enjoyed tending to his own grounds around his home. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Bryan.
Dick is survived by his wife, Phyllis Baitsholts Bryan; his daughter, Jennifer (Lee) Bennett; his granddaughter, Lauren Bennett; and his brother, Ted Bryan.
Dick will be interred privately in the Rensselaerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rensselaerville Fire Company, P.O. Box 134, Rensselaerville, NY 12147.
