Obituary of Peg Sheehan

Margaret (Peg) Sheehan (Nee O’Connor) passed into Heaven on May 24th, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born March 21st, 1929 on the Glin Road, Upper Aughrim, Moyvane, Co Kerry, Ireland to Patrick and Moll (Nee McAuliffe) O’Connor. Native of Ireland, formerly of the Bronx and Pearl River, NY and most recently East Durham, NY. Survived by her devoted Daughters, Bernadette Sheehan and Jimmy Gallagher, Eleanor McKeever and Patricia and Joe Sestito. Adoring Grandchildren, Thomas and Julie O’Connor, Aidan O’Connor, Jr. and Beau Loendorf, William O’Connor and Erin Feeney, Lara McKeever, Brendan McKeever and Laura Marinello, and the apples of her eyes, her Great Grandchildren, Brendan, Donovan and Kelly. Also survived by her sons-in-law, Aidan O’Connor, Sr. and Laurence McKeever and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was greeted in Heaven by her Beloved Husband Thomas Sheehan, native of Kilbaha, whom she married on April 25th, 1959 and who predeceased her on June 10th, 1989. Also met by all eight of her siblings, Denny, Jack, Hannie, Der, Mary, Bill, Lily and Bridie. A devout Catholic, a loyal Kerry woman, a proud American. She will be fondly remembered for her lively spirit, her mischievous grin, her love of family, friends, music, dance and ALL social gatherings. Due to current regulations, all services will be private. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
