Obituary of Alyssa Kalliopi Pantilieris

HARRISON - Alyssa Kalliopi Pantilieris, 45, passed away suddenly on April 5, 2020. She was born on November 11, 1974 in Catskill to Carolyn Dedie Myers and Anastasios Pantilieris. She was raised in Greenville, and was an exchange student in Denmark before graduating from GCS in 1992. She then went to SUNY New Paltz for her bachelor’s degree and then for her masters, she started at Hunter College and then graduated from Phoenix University. Alyssa moved to the Bronx and became a special education teacher at PS/MS 15. She then moved to Harrison, while still working at the school in the Bronx. Alyssa loved her three cats, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was absolutely devoted to her daughter. She was a supporter of the Trampled Rose Ranch Animal Rescue and the Broome Animal Sanctuary. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Marjorie and Milton Dedie, Kalliopi and Georgios Pantilieris, Rosemond and Robert Myers; and by her step-brother, Brian Myers. Alyssa is survived by her beloved daughter, Emily Fournier; her mother, Carolyn Dedie Myers; her step-father, Philip Myers; her brother, Taso (Hope) Pantilieris; her niece (and newest joy), Evelyn Pantilieris; her step-sister, Kristine (Al) D’Amato; and her father, Anastasios Pantilieris. A memorial service celebrating Alyssa’s life will take place at a later date.
